A pair of new undead riders stalk the battlefields with this latest release for Corvus Belli’s skirmish game.

Corvus Belli has only had one release for Warcrow this month, but it’s a cool one. A pair of Harvester Riders is now available for sale. You can learn more about these champions of the Scions of Yaldabaoth in Corvus Belli’s latest blog post.

Harvester Riders, the Most Cunning Undead

Husks can be created from the corpses of humans, dwarves, orcs, varank, or, in short, any animal that inhabits the world… even from elves. However, the Scions have such great respect for their kin that the reanimated elves receive special attention from the Weavers. They are known as the Harvesters and are the elite forces of the Dead Flesh.

The Harvesters move with an agility and precision unbecoming of a corpse, and the scythes with which they are armed turn them into embodiments of death itself. They have the honor of wearing a mask thanks to which they retain part of the will they possessed in life, which allows them to act creatively and independently. Some Harvesters ride out into battle on mounts, as they are the only undead with the skill to master these infernal steeds.

Reapers of Souls

Elves are elites even in undeath it turns out, and this pair of miniatures will have a place of pride in your army. They enjoy a well rounded and aggressive set of rules. They’re able to handle any terrain, no matter how difficult making them extremely mobile. Better still, their ability to absorb damage through taint means they’ll survive long enough to get stuck in. Their inherent abilities make them particularly dangerous to enemy units with low Willpower who may find their morale broken and their tactical efficiency in tatters.

These seem like a really interesting take on classic undead themes. While they have all the gristly, gruesome gore we all expect from an undead model they’re surprisingly fast and will let you take the game to your opponent sooner than they might have expected.

Becoming undead seems like it would be a lateral career move for an immortal elf, but what do I know?
