Kings of War: Forces Of Nature Heroes Lead The Pack – Pre-Order Now
Bring the power of the forests to your games – a pack of four new heroes for Forces of Nature armies is available for pre-order now.
Kings of War’s spring and summer campaign, Fracture, continues to shake the world of Pannithor. The Forces of Nature are at the core of the game’s narrative and have been enjoying a slew of new releases. Latest among these is a pre-order pack of four characters set to release later this month. These four models are also available individually.
Tribal Chieftain
The Chieftain is essentially a mid-level commander to bolster your horde of small (but fierce!) feraun warriors. I like this figure’s pose that suggests he’s surveying the battlefield from atop his imposing tactical rock.
The biggest of the ferauns are known as Longhorns and typically become the leaders and best warriors amongst the tribes. These chieftains are the most skilled of their kind in combat, and know that it is better to harness the savage nature of their kin, than to try and restrain it in battle. So, the chieftains direct their warriors to the areas of the battlefield best suited to their bestial fury, filling the air with the thundering of massed hooves.

Tribal Songweaver
Another unit upgrade for your Feraun, the songweaver helps keep these unruly warriors steady. She’s sort of a combination musician/standard bearer for the Feraun.

The Songweavers are the spiritual heart of The Herd, singing of Brave Kyron and their history so that it may never be forgotten. Stories and songs are shared freely with all of their brethren they encounter, for such knowledge is sacred to the children of Kyron. In battle, their voices are raised yet higher, reminding The Herd of Kyron’s deeds and sacrifices, inspiring them to do the same in his honour.
Centaur Chief
Much like the tribal chieftain is a character attachment for your infantry feraun, the centaur chieftain takes command of your centaur regiments. He adds some additional punch to what amounts to the heavy cavalry of a Forces of Nature army.

Centaur Chiefs are mystical and intelligent creatures, as well as veteran warriors. In times of peace they are often found far abroad of the Lady’s forces, acting as envoys and messengers. Their wise and measured demeanour is shed quickly on the battlefield however, as they lead other Centaurs in a thundering stampede, rushing ahead so as to be the first to meet the foe.

Druid
A potent spellcaster, the druid wields the powers of the wild on behalf of your army. Another understated but atmospheric sculpt, I think she’s got great table-presence.

Mystics who claim communion with the very spirits of the land itself, Druids are rare and naturally gifted individuals with no formal magical training. Other mages look askance at their wild, untutored ways, though few will dispute their effectiveness
Kings of War has lots more in store for the summer. We know the Forces of Nature are getting at least a few more releases soon but after those it’s anyone’s guess what army or armies will receive more stuff.
Maybe I’ll treat myself to a Forces of Nature army for a holiday. When is Arbor day, again?
