Follow up on last year’s Xirkaali invasion of Pannithor in the second expansion for Kings of War, available now.

Kings of War players have been eating well this year. The fourth edition of the game launched in December of 2025 and has been receiving a wealth of expansions, new models, and organized play events ever since. The latest installment in the ongoing story of the world of Pannithor, Fracture, is finally here!

Pannithor’s Story Continues in Fracture

Fracture is the second installment for this edition in the ongoing story of Pannithor, the world in which Kings of War is set. The edition launched with the momentous events of the Xirkalli invasion. Many of the great powers of the world are caught flat-footed and Fracture examines how these mighty nations, tribes, and individual leaders are responding to these calamitous events.

With the Xirkaali invasion arriving and ancient gods stirring once more, Pannithor stands on the edge of upheaval. The Green Lady moves to preserve the balance, walking a perilous path between the Shining and Wicked Ones. Her schemes forge uneasy new alliances even as they shatter old bonds.

The Ogres weigh her call to war with suspicion. In Basilea, faith fractures under the strain of schism and rising demonic incursions. Across the world, armies gather.

Fracture is finally available as a limited edition hardcover. The expansion will be available indefinitely, but only as a softcover. Once this hardcover run is sold out it’s gone for good, so don’t dawdle if you’re a book collector. The book is also available in a pair of bundles for players who want to get caught up on the ongoing story with the previous Invasion expansion, or start from scratch with the Core Rulebook.

What’s In The book?

This supplement includes a wealth of new materials for KoW players, both competitive and casual.

  • NEW Balance, Faction and Command Updates – keep your army competitive and up-to-date
  • NEW Scenarios – fresh challenges to test your battlefield strategy
  • NEW Universal Command Orders – additional tactics available to every faction
  • NEW Army Lists – including Forces of NatureBasileaForces of the Abyss and Ogres

Many of the new units are already available or up for pre-order. New models are coming for the four factions at the heart of this supplement’s narrative, along with army bundles for players new and old. I admit, I’m particularly taken with the Forces of the Abyss and Forces of Nature, but the new dragon for Basilea is an incredible model. I really appreciate this kind of expansion support. A narrow focus on a handful of armies means players get deeper dives into their favorite factions on a regular release schedule as opposed to single slowly updated army books.

We’ve been covering Kings of War pretty closely this year and despite not having played it yet myself, I’m increasingly tempted to take the plunge. The ongoing narrative around this edition is really fun stuff and I am a breath away from picking up a Forces of Nature or Forces of the Abyss army as a project for the autumn. I’m very interested in seeing what comes next for Kings of War, maybe it’s finally time for me to do some ranking and flanking…

Which side will you take in the conflict to decide the fate of Pannithor?
