Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Five Characters Still Missing From The Tabletop
I’m not just talking about the Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom. Here’s a handful of characters still missing from Marvel: Crisis Protocol!
While it would be simple to just jump on the bandwagon and ask “Where are the Fantastic Four?” and really all those associated characters (Doom, Super Skrull, Galactus, Silver Surfer, etc) that’s not what I want to poke at today. Yes, I do want all of those characters as I’m sure everyone else that’s playing MCP has been wanting, too. But the bench of characters from Marvel Comics is DEEP. Here are a few more characters that I’m honestly surprised haven’t make an appearance yet.
I’ve also tried to spread the love around this time as well and not just focus on ONE particular team. Although, now that I think about it, all of these characters have been associated the Avengers at somepoint. But if you’re a Hero in Marvel Comics, you’ve probably had a team-up with the Avengers at some point, too.
Wonder Man

Wonder Man, aka Simon Williams, has had a pretty wild ride in the comics. He’s gone from an antagonist/villain to a hero. His mind/brain patterns were actually used by Ultron as a template for Vision also! But the main point is he’s been a LONG time Avenger and even had an MCU show (which was certainly a different spin on the Wonder Man character) recently. Which is why I’m a little surprised he’s yet to make an appearance in Marvel: Crisis Protocol.
Giant Man
Okay, technically Giant Man is in Marvel: Crisis Protocol…sorta. Ant-Man on the tabletop is Scott Lang. I always thought that this version was based (loosely) off the MCU version of Scott Lang. Which, in the MCU, he did go Giant-Sized. So depending on how you want to slice it, we’ve got the alias of the character in the game already.
But that’s not the point. I’m honestly still surprised we don’t have a proper Giant-Man character in the game. It could be Hank Pym as Giant-Man. Heck, I’d settle for Goliath! The point is I’m just wondering why he hasn’t shown up on the tabletop yet. It’s not like we don’t have larger characters in the game already…
Hercules
I know I’ve mentioned Hercules a few times before but that’s because I’m still shocked he’s no where to be seen. I think he’d be a fun addition mostly because of his rivalry with Thor. But also because Hercules could also open the door way for some other characters like Ares or the Champions as an Affiliation.
Mantis
I don’t need to spell this one out, do I? Mantis is a recognizable character thanks to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and also because she’s on the roster for Marvel Rivals. She’s another one of those characters that seems like she should already exist in MCP on the tabletop but strangely doesn’t yet. I’d love to see her make the jump to the tabletop. But I’m also biased because I am a Guardians of the Galaxy player in MCP…
Sentry
I can already picture the Sentry in the game but I could also see him coming with The Void and the Sentry Tower as a terrain piece. It could be a whole package thing maybe even with a custom scenario, too! I’m guessing Atomic Mass Games is holding him back because he might be too potent or too problematic (rules-wise) to get right in the game. But man, it would be pretty sweet if old Bob here showed up to throw down with the Green Scar Hulk!
That’s a lot of heroes…I think it might be time to check out some obscure villains for the next one.
