RPG: Pathfinder Feybound Brings The First World To Golarion This Fall
Get ready to understand why faerie tales are a warning and a delight in Pathfinder: Feybound, an upcoming sourcebook for all things Fey.
The Fey are everywhere. I think it’s absolutely fitting that our favorite fantasy RPGs are littered with references to real-life faerie lore. It feels like the kind of trick you’d expect a fae to pull off. But that folklore and mythology is repeated and, sure, distorted because RPGs aren’t a folklore-accurate recreation of anything, but everywhere from D&D to Pathfinder to the World of Darkness and even some corners of Shadowrun, you’ll find ’em.
You’ll find even more of them throughout Golarion in November, thanks to an upcoming new sourcebook Pathfinder: Feybound. This book explores all things to do with the fey and their world, the First World.
Pathfinder Feybound – Those Fey Turn Up Everywhere
In Golarion as in many other RPGs, the fair folk of the world live in their own realm. It’s adjacent to but not a part of regular reality. And in Golarion, specifically, it’s the “First World.” It’s sort of a rough draft of the universe. From before it was fully ready for all the humanoids and continents and nations you know and love and have probably died at least once in over the course of the decades of Pathfinder.
In the First World are all the usual suspects. Redcaps. Pixies. Gremlins. Even and especially the Queens of the various Fey courts, because they’re always gathering in themed houses. In Feybound, you’ll find plenty of options for players and GMs. Like most setting/sourcebooks, this is probably most beneficial to GMs, but if you want to play with fey options, you’ll want to keep an eye out for this book.

The book isn’t out until much later this year. The official release date is November 4th (subject to the vagaries of real life, of course). But, if you’re so inclined, this might be a time to brush up on your fey lore.
