Two box sets of new heroes and villains are coming to the Galactic Civil War.

It’s all gas, no brakes for the team at Atomic Mass Games with another pair of Star Wars: Legion box sets coming to pre-order. A trio of figures is included in the Heroes of the Republic box, while four villainous officers stalk the battlefields in the Agents of the Empire set. Both sets are now available for pre-order, priced $39.99 each, and set to release on August 14th, 2026.

Leaders of the Republic

A set of three figures is on the way to command the army of the Republic on your tabletop. Grand Master Yoda, leader of the Jedi Council, leaves Coruscant to take personal command. Two models of Yoda are included, one in his classic “lifting a sunken X-Wing with his mind” pose, and a second, more aggressive lightsaber-wielding sculpt. Yoda is accompanied by Senator Padmé Amidala, wielding her signature blaster pistol. When diplomacy fails, this duo is prepared to defeat the Separatist threat by any means necessary.

The three miniatures in this box are accompanied by a set of seven command cards, unit cards, upgrade cards, and tokens. Everything you need to add these famous heroes to your Republic-era forces can be found within.

Agents of the Empire

Decades after the Republic has fallen and risen again, agents of the Empire seek to once more return to power. This set of four miniatures includes two Commander units and one operative unit. The notorious Moff Gideon commands the forces of an Imperial Remnant while wielding the infamous Darksaber. Agent Kallus, a relentless ISB officer is a skilled hunter, committed to tracking down rebel insurgents. Finally, Iden Versio, leader of Inferno Squad, takes to the field with her signature ruthless demeanor, accompanied by her ID10 droid.

The box set includes four miniatures, and all of their accompanying gameplay accessories. Ten command cards, unit cards, and upgrade cards are included to customize your forces led by these infamous villains. The set also includes all relevant punch sheet tokens.

After a summer of Mandalorians it’s nice to see Star Wars: Legion getting more support for its core factions and eras. I’ll always be an original trilogy guy, but I have to admit I love a lot of the newer characters and it’s always fun to see character actors like Giancarlo Esposito sculpted as miniatures war gaming figures in their iconic roles.

With Star Wars: Legion firing on all cylinders I wonder what the next big reveal might be? Maybe more terrain packs? The Outer Rim stuff is great, but I want a Hoth set or even better, Cloud City terrain. Gimme a carbon-freezing facility, already!
