So a reader pointed me to this bit of technology craziness, from Siggraph 2009 a couple of months ago.
What we have here are some UI design guys, trying to merge VR headsets with real-world toys to allow "virtual video games" that tie into real world objects. As wargamers, we can obviously see where this could take us in 10 years or so.
~I'm interested in your thoughts on this diretion in gaming. Are you guys playing the game due a deliberate enjoyment of the "old school" physicality and tactile cues of the miniature gaming experience, or would you be opene to our beloved hobby start to blur the lines with traditional video games, if technology allowed?
