Leman Russ: The Great Wolf (Hardback) $19

Many are the sagas of Leman Russ, Lord of Winter and War, most fearsome of the Emperor’s primarch sons. At the height of the Great Crusade, his Space Wolves fight to bring the rebel world of Dulan to compliance. Enraged by the defiance of the tyrant Durath, Russ has pledged to strike him down personally – but his brother Lion El’Jonson of the Dark Angels advises more caution. With the might of two Legions arrayed against Durath, tensions nevertheless run high, and the rivalry between the Wolf and the Lion threatens to engulf them all.

City of Secrets (Hardback) $24

~Who’s picking up what?

  • Dan Wilson

Might be one of the times I get a dice set… Definitely picking up some kairic acolytes and the battletome too.

  • Noah Jerge

$25 for the Gaunt Summoner is pretty cheap for a GW character miniature. It looks like it would be fun to paint.

    • Xodis

He doesnt come with his $15 Disk it seems lol

    • vlad78

Pretty cheap and GW don’t match in the same sentence. It’s still overcosted by at least 15 dollars.

      • DJ860

So you would expect them to release character models for $10 or less, lol? Ok, sure, good luck with that attitude.

    • frankelee

I’d note that you can buy that model for half the price on eBay with Buy It Now, and probably around 4-6 bucks if you wait for an auction. And it is a very cool model.

  • SilentPony

Which one is the blue Minotaur that looks like something out of Warcraft? ’cause that one is pretty cool.

    • Xodis

      Ogroid Thaumaturge

      Also available in Silver Tower.

      • SilentPony

I wonder if I could make a Dark Mechanicus magos out of it…

        • Mr.Gold

probably not enough metal, would make a good DP of Tzeentch on foot though…

          • Lion El’ Jonson

Tad bit more buffed then your average Technophile too.

          • SilentPony

What if I went corrupted Magos Biologis, with green stuff tubes and pipes and a pyramid head circa Silent Hill?

          • SilentPony

            Well Frankenstein-ish Magos isn’t too far-fetched, correct?

          • georgelabour

There’s a sub branch of Magos Biologis known as Genetors. These guys focus on augmenting the ‘machinery’ of organics over that of metal. Basically treating flesh as just another machine to tinker with.

So it’s actually quite fitting in with the lore.

In fact almost every mention of servitors mentions things like vat-grown muscles and extra glands that act as natural drug producers.

    • Mr.Gold

it has pretty awesome rules as well, for instance if you give him the leader trait & artefact from the Chaos section of the handbook: spiteful destruction (+1 to Wound) all of his attacks wound on 2+ (most of them have multiple rend), and just to be fluffy the mark of chaos for +1 Wound (he has a big rune of Tzeentch on his back) and this takes him up to 9 wounds (Tzeentch’s number). he is also a wizard, and automatically regains wounds each turn.

  • Xodis

Hmm no dice set has gotten a reprint from what I have seen, maybe GW recognizes a demand when they see one finally lol.

  • Xodis

I got the 1Ksons dice, so I need to add Tzeentch to the pile as well it seems lol.

    • Commissar Molotov

Careful – I bet Tzeentch dice are fickle!

      • Mr.Gold

with the 1ksons dice, just randomly state which side is the six & which side is the one before you roll them (as both the 6&1 have icons on) just to confuse your opponant…

      • __

They have a random chance of showing any number between 1 and 6!

        • Aezeal

Then they are fake. Tzeentch D6 roll randomly between 1 and 9.

          • Reven

I rolled a Tzeentch D6 once and ended up with π.

  • SupPupPup

Depending on their size Tzeentch dice would really be nice for silver tower.

  • Roughneck

Shame the dice are limited numbers

  • dave long island

So what do the Tzeentch dice look like? Why no picks? And why nothing about this ‘City of Secrets’ book, other than the fact that it is a hardback? Is it because the ‘City of Secrets’ book is also a secret? In keeping with the subject matter?

    • Gustav

I would think ‘real’ Tzeentch dice would be all of the colours all of the time, and appear to roll a six, but after you announce that they shift to being a one. Arguing and hilarity ensue.

      • dave long island

That sounds entertaining as hell. I’d buy a set of those!… lol

  • Alvin Adorno

that cover makes him look a bit chicken winged.

  • Emperor’s Champion

Their new release system confuses the hell out of me.
