“Deez ‘umies don’t know how t’ fight propa, like us Orks.” The assembly of heavily muscled Nobz bobbed their heads enthusiastically at Gizzbob’s proclamation as they leaned against their crude vehicles.

“Dey stomped Norg’s boyz good an’ propa’, dey did.” Interjected Skabbag. “Deffskulls ain’t propa’ Orks!” Gizzbob snorted. The gathering of Nobz all nodded in agreement again at this well-known fact. Gorbash half grunted, half gargled a response. Nobody bothered to listen. “Shut yer faces yer runts!” Warboss Gitsmasha’s roar immediately silenced the raucous gang of Nobz. “Deez ‘umies are the best dey’ve got, Spess Mah-reens. Dey ded ‘ard but we Orks ar’ the biggest an’ the strongest an’ when it comes to a propa’ fight we’ll smash ‘em good!”

“But if they’re so ded ‘ard, why do they run away from a good fight?” Gitsmasha turned his huge bulk in Gizzbob’s direction and stared malevolently at his subordinate, not that that discouraged Gizzbob who continued his rant. “It’s like dey don’t wanna fight. Dey come right up, start shootin’ an’ then dey run away…”. A peculiar look came over the slab-like wall of muscle and scar tissue that passed for Gizzbob’s face. His beady red eyes opened wide as the words tumbled out of his tusked maw. “Maybe… maybe dey isn’t runnin’ away… maybe…” Gitsmasha flexed his power klaw, something dangerous was happening here. Gizzbob was connecting the dots, he was on the verge of having an Orky epiphany. If he realised that the ‘umies weren’t running away but that they were using kunnin’ tactiks to stomp them one bit at a time then Gitsmasha would have to kill him. The only Ork who knew about kunnin’ and tactiks was Da Boss. Gitsmasha is Da Boss. Gizzbob would have to die. At that moment Gizzbob opened his mouth wide, clearly the moment of revelation was upon him! Gitsmasha readied his power klaw to smash him where he stood. At than moment Gizzbob let rip with the most sonorous burp any of the party of Nobz could ever remember hearing. It went on and on, spittle and chunks of Gizbob’s last meal flying everywhere. The assembly fell about with righteous laughter as Gitsmasha relaxed. There would be no leadership challenge today. Gizzbob blinked sheepishly, seemingly pleased with himself.

The roars of laughter were suddenly drowned out by the sound of gunfire. “Da ‘umies is back boyz! Get on your bikes an’ follow me! Dis time we’re gonna stomp ‘em good! WAAAGGGHHHH!”

“WAAAGGGHHHHH!” they chorused as they mounted their smoke belching vehicles and made off at breakneck speed towards the cacophony of battle.

Here is a bit of the battle report for the full battle report press the below link! Hope you enjoy.

‘Ere We Go!!!! Finally we got to use Quini’s Orks on the battlefield and wow did the battlefield look great with these two amazing looking armies. The game started without night fighting on the first turn as the first D6 roll of the game turned up on a 3, Jon then won the roll off and his Carcharodons would deploy and go first, a very important factor when playing Orks and even more when it’s a fast Ork army! As always, the more you can kill before they reach you the better!

Both players received the Master of Ambush Warlord Trait which allows for up to 3 (non-vehicle) units to infiltrate. As such it was time for another roll off to see who would infiltrate first. This time Quini won the roll off and deployed his very tough Bike squad on his left flank making good use of the fences as cover. (Quini, through Da Finkin’ Kap also got “Divide to Conquer” as a second warlord trait. This means that his opponent’s reserve rolls suffer a -1 penalty.)

SN Battle Reports Jon responds by infiltrating his Iron Hands Captain and his bike squad further up the battlefield in a decent position to get some shots on the approaching Ork trukks This seems to be quite a risky move given that they will be in Ork Assault range…

The Carcharodon assault squad and warlord also move up with a infiltrate move. Very courageous moves by Jon but that’s how the Carcharodons like it I guess! Maybe those rumours as to their founding are true after all…

Final view of both armies deployed and infiltrated before the battle begins! The Orks try to steal the initiative, but fail, so Jon starts his first turn…

Turn 1 (Imperium) Drop pod lands perfectly behind enemy lines!

Turn 1 (Imperium) The thunderfire cannon fires at the approaching Nob squad and gets three direct hits wounding an amazing 9 times. But the Imperial cheers are quickly hushed as Quini passes all but one of his 4+ saves and his fnp rolls. What a start!

Turn 1 (Orks) The ‘eavy armour boyz are the first to disembark.
