Tabletop Gallery “Bitz Paradise”

This is where awesome converters go when they die.

What bitz can you identify?

Enjoy. If you have an awesome wargames shot you think would make a great BoLS pic of the day, email us. We love spectacle and characterful shots so lets see what you budding photographers can do! Warhammer 40,000, Fantasy, Warmachine/Hordes, DUST, Bolt Action, Dropzone, Gates of Antares & Flames of War miniatures photos are welcome.

I have 3 large Rubbermaid that more or less look exactly like this. I have to ignore the fact that they are full of hundreds of dollars of gray plastic, or else I start getting depressed.

I need to find a store that has a bitz swap/sale event to unload some of it.

  • Anti-Gravity

I have four tupperware bins full of bitz, one doesn’t even close properly because of how much crap is in it.

I built a whole Tyranid space fleet from scratch just from all of the Nid leftovers. Slap them all together and they eventually look like spaceships.

Failure to sort by faction in small (24) compartment boxes. I have so many bits, but at least I can find parts when I need without digging. 🙂

You should be able to find these in your local hardware store: http://www.aliexpress.com/popular/small-plastic-compartment-box.html

I went beyond that with a minigrip system that has bits by unit type and part sorted out so that all the guns are in one bag, all the melee weapons in another, all left arms in their own bag and so on. Still if I want to find a specific piece it tends to get tedious at times.

Yah, I usually sort the types of bits into compartments like that too. Arms into one compartment, guns, torsos each in their own like that. Loosely though, I’m not a complete maniac about it. 😉

          I am. 😀

Me too. I was at a FLGS the other day and resisting the compulsion to organize their entire bits bin.

I sorted some bits that belong together like left arm, big weapon, right arm into one little zipper bag. Which is thrown into a big box.

I find the digging part can add a level of random inspiration to a conversion project; but then I do single minis for grim dark skirmish games so I’m not required to find a bunch of bits to make an entire unit.

I used to want a big bitz box when I was first into gaming as a kid & seeing all the awesome conversions people did. Now I have tons of bitz boxes & every time I look in them I think “This is all just garbage, isn’t it?”

This picture does not qualify for either “an awesome wargames shot” nor “spectacle and characterful shots”. It’s just garbage.
