GW: Rumor Engine “Ride Eternal”

Games Workshop is back with another rumor engine teaser – this one is a doozy!

It’s that time of the week where Games Workshop teases us all with a brand new Scooby-Doo mystery. Today’s Rumor Engine has me thinking it has something to do with tires…

“This week, we get a look at…. something? It’s kind of difficult to be sure what we’re seeing here.”

…it’s shiny and possibly got some chrome.

Well what do we have here? We’ve got spikes and what look like bolts…plus that weird inset area. Right off the bat this reminds me of one thing in particular:

Ork Trukk Wheels. If these are Orky tires, that’s making me wonder which kit is going to get them. The Trukk and Battlewagons are kits are fairly recent. Same with Ork Bikes. There are two vehicles that haven’t been updated in a long time in the Ork Range however:

Warbuggy

Wartrakk

Wartrakk

These two vehicles have needed a face lift for awhile. But that’s just my guess – it could be something completely new! Heck, it might not even be a tire; this could be a completely different type of bit. But that’s part of the fun, right?

So internet detectives what do you think this new teaser is? Let us know in the comments below!

  • Karru

I do hope it is something for the Orks. I’d love to see them update those super old Buggies and Wartrakks instead of giving them something new.

    • orionburn

Hopefully it’s for 40k. The last Orkish rumor turned out to be a model for Blood Bowl.

      • Blood Bowl Ork thingy was my first guess actually.

  • Mylestrom

    The return of Gorkamorka??

  • James Mcclennan

    DOOMRIDER

    • Drew

I think you mean DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMRIDER!!! 😉

      • Lord Elpus

        Now with added coke.

  • Fexxo

It’s something for Age of Sigmar. On the Facebook post it says “a brand new race for the mortal realms, Forget everything you knew about duardin…”

  • Albino_42

    Here’s hoping for Wazdakka….

  • Severius_Tolluck

Hmm the rate they are doing remakes, GorkaMorka may be more likely then a whole new line of orks. Boggles my mind how long those traks and buggies have been in service.. since at least what 97?

    • Commissar Molotov

Didn’t they come out at the same time as Gorkamorka? Replaced the old metal ones, IIRC.

      • EmperorOfMankind

pretty sure there were never any metal ork trukks

      • Severius_Tolluck

Yeah I think so, but If I recall it was first Gorkamorka and then the supplement hit right after. In any case, I would be excited for new ork vehicles for a change!

        • Commissar Molotov

You and me both. On the other hand, I’ve converted up so many toys into Ork vehicles in the interim that I’d be loath to spend cash on “real” ones!

          • Severius_Tolluck

As most Ork players are oft to do. Main reason stompas tanked so hard. We were taught for years to loot stuff!

    • Defenestratus

the falcon has been in service since 95 I think.

      • Severius_Tolluck

        Sisters since 96!

    • dave long island

      Yeah, they look like it.

  • faeslayer

Those aren’t Orky spikes. Those are Chaos spikes…

  • Shinnentai

    Giganto bikes for giganto marines.

  • Primaris Space Marine Biker?

  • david

Every space marine needs a bike!

  • Chris Hateley

    It’s a space marine.

  • Rhaen

    It’s a Doof-Wagon!

  • benn grimm

    Fingers crossed…

  • Jared McWilliams

    DOOMRider.

  • MechBattler

Ehhh…. It COULD be an ork tire. But it looks too uniform to be orky.

  • James Hall

You had me excited thinking that GW were going to announce a Mad Max game.

  • knightsanguis

It could be a Primaris bike (which I think is most likely given the new range of Primaris Marines they’re releasing next month), or it could be some sort of Ork vehicle (which is also likely), but I really hope it’s Doomrider 😉
