Paizo has two new tools for all you GMs out there in Internetland.

Although, truthfully, I have no idea why I just called it Internetland, when it’s clearly more of a distributed nation state and if anything would be an Internet Federation or the like. But there’s no going back. It’s done. I did it. This is the world we live in today and all we can do is try to move on. Fortunately that won’t be too hard because we also live in a world where people who are GMing Starfinder have two new tools to help them keep their games moving stylishly.

First up we’ve got the GM Screen, this is the same thing you know and love (or lose within five days of purchasing it). It’s not reinventing the wheel, but it is useful. Hide your dice and campaign notes, keep a handy reference of the rules nearby (especially helpful when the two systems are similar enough that you’ll think you know a rule, and yet distinct enough that you’ll almost certainly be wrong), and have something to loom intimidatingly over when your players start sassing you as though your word as GM was anything less than the law absolute.

Second, we have the Starfinder Combat Pad, which is a magnetic wet/dry white board that has some preprinted charts on it to help you keep track of fights round after round, dunk after dunk, jam after jam, cheerleaders are cheering–probably because your players have just realized that you’ve put them in an adventure derived from Aaron Carter’s legendary battle with Shaquille O’Neal and there’s nothing they can do to stop you.

On Track for Adventure

Never miss a turn with the Starfinder Combat Pad initiative tracker! Usable with any roleplaying game, this wet and dry erase board includes magnets that stick right to it! List the names of heroes and foes on the magnets using a wet or dry erase marker, then place them in initiative order. When the order changes, simply slide the magnets to their places. Take the uncertainty out of battle with the Starfinder Combat Pad.

Includes:

  • 1 double-sided magnetic wet and dry erase board, with two different sides designed specifically for tactical combat and starship combat!
  • 2 sheets of magnets, each with:
    • 13 light blue player character magnets
    • 13 orange enemy magnets
    • 9 dark blue nonplayer character magnets
    • 2 round arrows
    • 2 turn arrows
    • 2 next round magnets

And that my friends, is how you beat Shaq.
