Star Wars Destiny: Spirit of the Rebellion Preview

There’s a new set of booster packs on the way for Star Wars: Destiny – Spirit of the Rebellion!

The Rebels (and some Imperial ‘heroes’) from Rogue One are making their way to Star Wars Destiny and they are bringing some team spirit with them! Here are a bunch of the new cards for the set direct from FFG:

Jyn Erso is here to help damage your opponent with her range attacks or her discard results. On top of that her ability will save you some significant resources over the course of a game.

Director Krennic is tougher than most characters and his ability means that if you control the battlefield, his die pool can be quite deadly.

The Emperor, however, is an army unto himself. His ability alone is going to cause people problems – every die you resolve deals 2 damage to your opponents characters that they have to distribute! That’s going to add up QUICK. And his die rolls are nothing to scoff at either.

And if you thought Palpatine was bad on his own, with Force Lightning he’s even deadlier. If you’re looking to play aggressively then keep an eye out for this combo!

Rebel Assault is a new event that works well with characters that really specialize with range damage. It’s a useful addition to those decks.

Never Tell Me The Odds is a great card and another new event in this set. Allowing you to flip a die to any facing you’re making sure you get the result you need.

The last teaser is for a new support card – Your Eyes Can Deceive You is a different take on the same idea. This time, if you roll a shield result you can exhaust this card to move an opponents die to any side! That’s pretty powerful considering a lot of dice have at least 1 blank..

These new Rogue One character previews aren’t the only ones in the set so be sure to check out the Spirit of Rebellion Booster Packs coming your way in the 2nd quarter of 2017!

Oh hey, something SupPupPup doesn’t like that means it’s immediately boring.

      • SupPupPup

        Is this really exciting?

        • BClement

For people that play Star Wars Destiny, yeah. This is big news – the Emperor is a freaking beat stick.

Just because YOU don’t like something doesn’t mean its boring.

          • SupPupPup

That’s a bit arrogant. Saying that its really exciting, just because you enjoy it.

Just because YOU like something doesn’t mean that its exciting.

          • BClement

I’m sorry you don’t understand why this is exciting. I’m done here.

I hate when new product is announced and you can’t even find the starting game!!!

    • BClement

Well the good news is that these packs aren’t available yet. Hopefully FFG will put out more starters before these packs hit shelves. Then again, FFG does have issues with shipping lol.

        No kidding

    • Wonderful_Leiderhosen

I have had access to starters since the 2nd wave and know of several stores that are getting booster shipments today….

      • BClement

These particular boosters don’t come out until 2nd quarter of 2017. Maybe they are getting the previous/current boosters.

I’m also familiar with local stores that have starters on hand…Maybe it’s just based on location?

        • Wonderful_Leiderhosen

Oh i didn’t mean that these were coming out today, I was referring to the restocks of the Awakenings set.
