It’s time to go on a bombing run with the new Resistance Bomber for Star Wars: X-Wing!

The Resistance is about to party like it’s 1992, because word to your moms, they came to drop bombs, they’ve got more rhymes than the Bible’s got Psalms. In addition to being fans of the House of Pain, the Rebellion now has a pretty sweet bomber on their side, check it out.

Okay let’s talk about the Resistance Bomber. In the video we talked about the trajectory simulator and how it really makes the Resistance Bomber work. It turns it from needing to be a close-in bomber/mine-layer to being able to proactively determine the terrain of the fight. If you know where your enemy is flying, or can at least lure them to an area, you can have your resistance bomber positioned to fly up and fill the table with bombs.

Or at least, make it dashed inconvenient to do the thing your enemy wants to do. This is an incredibly solid ship. With 9 structure points and the ability to refill its bombs thanks to the Ordnance Silos, this ship is going to keep on giving. And with the upgrade cards that let you selectively exclude something from a bomb, you’re going to be able to capitalize on the havoc you’ve sown with your bombs.

Resistance Bomber Expansion Pack $39.95

A strategic ordnance platform flown by brave Resistance pilots, the B/SF-17 heavy bomer arrives to X-Wing™ as a towering, large-base ordnance platform with room for one systems upgrade, one tech upgrade, and two bombs. In addition to its pre-painted miniature starship, the Resistance Bomber Expansion Pack provides a host of potential pilots and upgrades. In total, you’ll find four ship cards, thirteen upgrades, one condition card, a maneuver dial, and all the plastic and tokens you need to rain destructive ordnance upon the First Order!

I’m not really sold on the design of the ship; but I like the sinister atmosphere of the artwork on the box. The bombers look very menacing coming out of the clouds.

Right? It looks awkward for some reason. I like it but every time I look at it I just kinda grimace.

You know what it looks like? It looks like someone took a Nebulon-B, cut off the rear engine block and stuck wings on it. Not even wings which are proportionate to the size of the craft, but baby wings that make it look like the ship is saying “No, I don’t know either”. It’s like someone saw the B-wing and said “Not ungainly enough”. I love it more and more.

Yah it’s like someone wanted a WW2 bomber and a submarine to have a baby.
