Fantasy Flight Games Previews the blue cards from Star Wars Destiny’s upcoming set Legacies!

The cards in Star Wars Destiny are divided into different color sets and the Blue cards generally represent force sensitive characters/abilities/upgrades. In Legacies, we get to dive into the history of Star Wars and get a new look at some old fan favorites!

Return of the Sith

Palpatine is back in his pre-Windu days. He’s a powerful character with a lot of HPs. On top of that He reduces the cost of event cards by the different damage symbols he’s showing – not too shabby!

Maul has also returned and he’s looking pretty ticked off…He’s dropped the “Darth” and now he just MAULS. If your opponent removes one or more of Maul’s dice (either character or attached upgrade dice) due to a card effect, you can remove one of their dice. Maul is looking for payback – one way or another!

Maul is also know for his iconic Double-lightsaber so of COURSE it’s in this expansion. And it’s PRETTY MEAN – if the opponent has no sheilds, you can roll this dice into your pool. But perhaps more importantly, it will help your Melee characters hit like a boss!

And Double Strike is going to be very popular for those turns where you have a massive melee attack – why not do it twice!

Snare is more of a general card but if you use it wisely, you can lock down your opponent’s character.

Legacy of the Jedi

It’s almost impossible to talk about Jedi without thinking about Yoda. This little green guy should not be judged by his size. His die has no blanks and he’s an amazing support card. He’s going to be able to generate resources, shields, adjust your dice, or straight-up mess with your opponent’s deck. Watch-out for this muppet!

Aayla Secura is an effective combatant on her own but if you happen to get your force special off you can really manipulate your dice – AND your opponent. She’s fantastic if you’re looking for a mixed Blue/Red deck.

I was not expecting the Jedi to go for a “mill” theme but apparently they are! The Jedi prefer a peaceful solution so I suppose decking your opponent is one way to get that job done…

Ataru Strike is a another card that pairs well with the defensive nature of the Jedi. If you can load-up on Shields then it becomes quite deadly!

Oh hey – a cheap way to get Shields on your Blue characters! It’s almost like they have cards that need shields or something…

Yep – convert your shields to resources for the low low cost of 0.
