GW put up some new Apocalypse Datasheets.

They also added a blank datasheet. Presumably to allow players like us to make their own datafaxes.

A few comments from me:

  1. I don’t care for the new description font for the LR Ares. It’s hard to read and the curly letters are a little girly. Are they saying something about Dark Angels?
  2. Dark Angels and Grey Knights get something before Witch Hunters? Seems like GW has the hate on for Sisters.
  3. The Land Raider Ares looks great. I love the Demolisher Cannon and Dozer Blade on the Land Raider chassis. Not worth 300pts, but very pretty. Now if it has twin-linked sponson Assault Cannons instead of Heavy Flamers, they might be in the right ball park. Man, that font is terrible.
  4. The Grey Knight Redeemer Force could be fun for GK players. The Redemptor rule is very funny. Kudos on this one.
  5. Three point infiltrating Mutants? These are going to be nasty.
  6. Did I mention that I hate the font they used for the Dark Angels Land Raider? What were they thinking?
  7. Karandras and 2+ squads of Striking Scorpions that can redeploy to “any other terrain feature on the board large enough to accomodate teh entire formation”? And they can shoot and assault normally that turn? No, that’s not abusive. Wow.
  8. They made a datasheet for a player with lots of Fire Prisms!? Thank the Emperor! Those poor Mech Eldar players really need a boost for Apocalypse games! The Sunstorm is pretty neat though.
  9. Yea! I get to use my Kroot again! Master Shaper with a Witch Blade! Vulturekin get Jump Infantry and Hit & Run for 50pts a unit? Not bad. Fantastic datasheet!
  10. The Piranha Swarm doesn’t have the typical Strike Force special rule for some reason so basically you get a mobile Disruptor Beacon strategic asset for 100pts. Plus all of the teams can make a Strategic Redeployment before the game starts. This would probably be pretty balanced if they added in the Strike Force rule. It’s a little over powered without it.

– All-in-all a great set of datasheets! I actually have the models to use a couple of them and am eager to try out both the Grey Knights Redeemer Force and the Kroot Mercenaries sheets.
