Mantic: Summer of Kings of War Miniatures and Books!
ManticGames are releasing a new army, supplement book and dozens of new units for Kings of War this summer. Take a look at what’s on the way.
It all started back in June when the Undead and Orcs got reinforcements from Werewolves, Mummies, Trolls, Chariot and Fight Wagon kit, plus some repackaging to make 40 man Undead Skeleton and Orc Ax units. Quite a start to the month.
In July, a whole new faction is being released with the Ogre army. With Warriors and Shooters as multi-part plastic kits the mainstay choices in the army, both of which come with alternate load outs (the Warriors get hand weapon and shield or two handed weapon; the Shooters get Blunderbusses and Heavy Crossbows).
The Goblins too get releases such as the new plastic Fleabag Cavalry and the Goblin Mincer warmachine, as well as some very characterful heroes!
July’s releases are underlined by the release of the first supplement for Kings of War: Kings and Legends. Featuring 22 new Living Legend special characters for the game as well as the Ogre Force List, this 48 page book is one of two supplements to the mass fantasy battle game Kings of War, with the Basilean Legacy book – and model range (featuring Angels!!) coming in August. Kings of War is now up to 9 armies now, a good feat for only a few years. People forget how slowly it takes games to expand into their full ranges of 10+ factions. It is no easy feat so congratulations to them for cranking those ranges out over the months. I’m looking forward to what they will do for Humans.
