After Action Review
So close! There were several opportunities for me to make a game of this one, but it seemed that every chance fell through. His early success at knocking my building down absolutely crippled me, and it felt like I was fighting just to make him bleed from that point on.
But bleed him I did! Those Slayers prove themselves every time I bring them to the fight. From shelling buildings into rubble to knocking out heavy tanks in one volley, they really do bring the pain. I’ve been considering two groups of four at higher points values, and this game really made me continue the thought process.
If anything, I think I deployed too heavily to one flank, and too early. I always forget what the Scourge Marauders are capable of in terms of redeployment, if you just have the patience to wait for one extra turn before disembarking. I think I’m still too much in a Shaltari mindset of hit first and hit early. Practice makes perfect!
Come on armchair generals, I know you’ve got loads of praise, criticism and scorn to heap on us! What were your thoughts on the game? Leave a comment below to tell us where we went wrong along the way.
