The Others: 7 Sins from CoolMiniOrNot, Guillotine Games and Studio McVey got deadlier today with the announcement of the brand new Apocalypse expansion.

Originally planned as a later release, the fan’s sheer excitement for The Others encouraged an earlier release. Backers can now add the Apocalypse expansion to their pledges as an Optional Buy for only $40.

ApocBox

The Apocalpyse expansion offers a whole new play mode designed for the bravest or craziest of players and includes huge and frighteningly detailed figures of Apocalypse incarnate and his four heralds, War, Pestilence, Famine and Death! Inside the box, you’ll get 5 big figures, 4 new tiles, 1 new Story Board, an Apocalypse Track Board, 5 monster reference cards, and you’ll also get 2 Kickstarter exclusive heroes if you back the project before the campaign ends.

This expansion represents the Hell Club’s ultimate scheme. They have opened the final gate and unleashed Apocalypse and his minions upon Haven. The Hell Club isn’t dumb though because they’ve abandoned the city knowing nothing will be left once these horrors are done with it. This expansion has its very own Story Board that focuses on the Sins player destroying Haven. Any combination of Sin and Acolytes can be used as players make their way through 6 different maps during the Story.

ApocArt

For this Story, a new Apocalypse Track is introduced that replaces drawing new Apocalypse cards as the track advances with placing new Avatars of the Apocalypse onto the board. Eventually, when all of his heralds have arrived, Apocalypse itself will enter the battlefield of Haven. Each of his Avatars affect the game differently. Death slowly drains any Hero’s health who stands next to him. Famine removes a District’s ability to support Heroes by draining its resources. War makes all monsters around him fiercer and more dangerous in battle. Pestilence increases the effectiveness of Corruption tokens. And Apocalypse is unparalleled in battle with the ability to turn Hero against Hero.

If Apocalypse and his Avatars don’t sound threatening enough, their presence is sure to inspire awe. Each figure towers over the Heroes, with Apocalypse clocking in almost 50% taller than the Avatar of Pride. To fight monsters like these, the Heroes of F.A.I.T.H. are going to need some extra firepower. Luckily, the expansion comes with 12 more Upgrade Cards (6 different cards with 2 copies of each). These upgrades include a magic blade that becomes more powerful as the Apocalypse Track advances, armor that heals Heroes when they wade into spaces full of Fire or Corruption, and holy books that reduce the power of the Avatars.

Of course, you can’t have new bad guys and upgrades without taking the fight to a few new locations. The new tiles in the Apocalypse expansion introduces 4 new locations that connect the New City with Old Town. The new tiles include an opulent Opera house, a decaying junkyard, a bustling Chinatown market, and a creepy Amusement Park.

For anyone who backs The Others: 7 Sins on Kickstarter and adds the optional Apocalypse expansion, 2 new heroes will be included. Backers will receive Benoit the Sniper and Kwanita the Bruiser. Each will bring their own unique abilities to the F.A.I.T.H. team and will be of great use in the battle again Apocalypse and his Avatars. If you don’t pick up the game during its Kickstarter campaign, the Apocalypse expansion will be available in retail stores later on.
