GW: Rumor Engine “Ground Floor Rumors”

Games Workshop is teasing another rumor – and this one comes from the ground up!

“Not sure what to make of this, folks… let us know what you think it might be over on our Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000 Facebook pages.”

I like the fact that GW is teasing artwork – it’s a nice touch. But it can also throw you for a loop based on the style the artist was going for. For example the piece above seems to be evoking Wayne England’s style:

The Teeth, the elongated features, the sharp edges…it’s clearly inspired by Mr. England’s work. Unfortunately, he passed away early last year – so perhaps this is a bit of a tribute to him.

But, back to the rumor at hand – What do you think it is?

It looks a little like a Bloodletter’s head to me but the skeletal “bones” in the image are making me wonder if it’s something more. And even if it is a Bloodletter it could fit for either 40k or AoS…very sneaky GW. Well played.
