The Arkanaut Ironclad is HUGE. When we opened the box, I was actually surprised at the size of the hull. I knew the kit was going to be large, but whoa. Pictures just don’t do it justice. The Ironclad is going to be the big “centerpiece” model for the army and with good reason. It’s a fantastic kit that is just dripping with details. I was really impressed with the size, but the attention to detail is really what makes this kit so great. On top of that, all of those details help to reinforce the themes of the Kharadon Overlords, something that all of the “boats” have done. This one just must more of that and it’s done really, really well.

Brokk Grungsson is the most successful admiral of the Kharadron Overlords. Because of his daring and adventurous attitude he has garnered much fame and many followers. His custom armored suit is a refection of all that. And it is VERY custom. His beard has guns it it, folks. I mean, c’mon! The rest of his armor is pretty ornate and has all the markings and trappings of a special character. He takes the themes and the look of a typical Kharadron Overlord model and takes it to the next level – and beyond.

Overall, I think these are both great additions to the Kharadron Overlord line. We knew they were both on the way and now they are here everyone can rest easier knowing that the Ironclad and Grungsson are on the job. If you’re a Kharadron Player, you should be thrilled to get your hands on the Ironclad and if you’re like me and you just wanted a really cool kit to work on, then the Arkanaut Ironclad will not disappoint. Both are in stores now so go check them out!

Brokk Grungsson, Lord-Magnate of Barak-Nar $40

Brokk Grungsson exemplifies the self-made Kharadron Overlord privateer. He is rapacious in the hunt for aether-gold, and daring in his explorations of the skybound wonders of Chamon. Brokk Grungsson is the only Admiral that has successfully led a fleet around the Spire, the fabled Horn of Chamon. Some Kharadron would be satisfied having achieved such honours, but Brokk Grungsson strives on, hungry for ever-more success and recognition – his natural aeronautical abilities and aggressive nature mean these successes are rarely far from his grasp.

Arkanaut Ironclad $115

The jewel in the crown of the fleet, the Arkanaut Ironclad is a majestic airship. Bristling with weaponry, its deep cargo holds can be laden with aether-gold or it can be loaded to the gunwales with Arkanaut Companies or Grundstok Thunderers. Advancements made by the Kharadron’s endrineers have allowed for ever-larger vessels of the skyfleet, and the Ironclad is to date the biggest. Clad in layer upon layer of riveted iron plates, these massive ships pour astonishing amounts of aether-shot, bombs and torpedoes on anything with the temerity to get between the Kharadron Overlords and their bounty of aether-gold.
