The Rebellion is making a stand against the Empire in Star Wars: Legion – come take a look at what they are packing!

Yesterday we took a look at the Empire’s troopers and the AT-ST. Today we’re unpacking the Rebel side of the house starting with the T-47 Airspeeder!

T-47 Airspeeder Unboxing

Let me just say upfront that I’m super biased with this model. It’s one of my all time favorite vehicles from the Star Wars Universe and I’m predisposed to loving all versions of this in model/toy/other form. That said, I love this kit!

Much like the AT-ST, this kit feels plucked right out of the Star Wars movies. I’ve “flown” it in countless video games and gotten a good look at this vehicle over the years and I can say that FFG nailed this model. Once the Snowtroopers come out, I want to recreate Hoth pretty much all the time. In fact, that’s pretty much all I want to do at this point. Can I just play with 3 of these and call it a day? What’s that? I can fit two in a legal list? Eh…I GUESS I’ll put some troopers in my list. Whatever, for $29.95, it’s worth it!

T-47 Airspeeder Unit Expansion

When the Rebel Alliance first landed on Hoth, they found a cold and inhospitable planet—ill-suited to supporting life of any kind, much less hosting the secret base of a full-scale rebellion against the Galactic Empire. Still, the Rebellion survived, adapting their strategies, tactics, and equipment to deal with the oppressive environment. A crucial part of their survival was tinkering with their airspeeders to withstand the killing cold of Hoth. Soon, you’ll be able to outfit your Rebels with the same speeders!

You may be battling the Empire on the frozen wastes of Hoth, or you may be fighting on the surface of any other planet, across the thousands of planets that make up the galaxy. No matter where you are, there’s always good reason for you to get a little air superiority. The T-47 Airspeeder Unit Expansion for Star Wars™: Legion adds one T-47 airspeeder miniature to your Rebel armies. Along with the beautifully sculpted, unpainted miniature, you’ll find all the unit cards and upgrade cards that you need to make the T-47 airspeeder a crucial part of your battle for freedom.

Endor fans, where you at?! Now you too can run through the forest moon like you got camo trenchcoats like the Rebel Troopers! These commandos come howling in with 7 models in the kit. You’ve got some options to play with when you build them up, too.

Overall, these guys have a good bit of detail as well from a modeling point of view. Their cloth has a lot of “texture” to work with and I can’t wait to see how folks paint these guys up.

Rebel Troopers Unit Expansion

The Alliance recruits warriors from every world—wherever they can find beings who have come to hate the Empire’s tyranny. Together, these ragtag groups of recruits become Rebel Troopers, carrying out the fight against the Empire on dozens of worlds across the galaxy. The Rebel Trooper is well-used to embarking on stealthy missions, and above all, they’ve learned to trust the other soldiers in their squad with their lives.

The Rebel Troopers Unit Expansion features a full unit of seven Rebel Trooper miniatures, identical to the Rebel Troopers included in the Star Wars: Legion Core Set. This expansion also includes the unit card and an assortment of upgrade cards, inviting you to kit out your Rebel Troopers for any battlefield scenario.

Last but not least we also have the “new” AT-RT which were introduced during the Clone war. These walkers add some mobility and firepower to your forces, plus they are another cool looking kit to boot. I really want to see a swarm of these take down an AT-ST!

AT-RT Unit Expansion

The Rebel Alliance is constantly outgunned in their war against the Empire. Since they cannot hope to match the awe-inspiring military production of a galaxy-spanning Empire, the Rebellion has turned to salvage in order to supplement their forces—such as with the AT-RTs. First introduced by the Republic during the Clone War, the All Terrain Recon Transport, or AT-RT, has since been co-opted by the Rebel Alliance to aid their war against the Empire.

The AT-RT Unit Expansion includes a single new AT-RT miniature for you to add to your Rebel army, complete with three different gun attachments that can be attached to your miniature. Along with the AT-RT, you’ll find the associated unit card and an assortment of upgrade cards for you to enhance your AT-RT and other units.

Are you a rebel? Time to start rebelling!
