Coming up for the Age of Sigmar, the next wave of releases in the new edition rollout. Start Collecting kits, Stormcast and Nighthaunt Characters, and a few made to order minis.

The Age of Sigmar 2.0 Launch Party continues this next week, with the new Stormcast and Nighthaunt characters going up for pre-order next weekend. That means you’ll be seeing folks like Kurdoss Valentian, the Craven King or Astreia Solbright, the Lord-Arcanum riding on a Dracoline and wielding magic and artifice enough to command respect in the Sacrosanct Chamber. And while we’re at it, have Reikenor the Grimhailer as well.

In addition to these leaders, you’ll also be able to pick up the Stormcast’s Lightning Ballista and the Nighthaunt’s Dreadblade Harrows, to add some much needed firepower to your armies.

You’ll also be able to get the new multipart Evocators, who wield their awesome staves and swords and can empower your troops as long as there’s at least a pair of them.

But wait, there’s more! If you’ve been on the fence about committing to the Age of Sigmar release–maybe you think the models are incredibly cool, but aren’t sure if you’re ready to commit to a huge kit like Soul Wars (seriously, that box has 52 miniatures in it, it’s got heft enough to compete with Gloomhaven)–then you can give one of the new start collecting kits a try.

There’s Storm Strike, which gives you a baby army to get started with. It’s designed from the ground up to be for utter nooblets–so if you’re looking for an Age of Sigmar tutorial level, this is it. It’s got everything you need to learn all the rules over the course of a few missions, and like most of these starter kits, it gets you and a friend into the game immediately.

Or if you’re looking for something a little bigger, you’ll also be able to snag the Tempest of Souls kit

Which comes with a collection of miniatures pared down from Soul Wars, a mat, and all the paints and tools you’ll need to put your army together. And if that wasn’t ENOUGH of an impetus to start collecting some models, here are the Stormcast and Khorne sets from the original starter sets now collected as Start Collecting kits.

You’ll also be able to snag a few more Made to Order classics–folks like Gorbad Ironclaw or Settra the Imperishable–all in all a pretty exciting week for fans of the Age of Sigmar. After that, Kill Team is on the Horizon, so buckle up folks, because we’re also diving headlong into that.

If only there were a way to play a displaced Age of Sigmar force in Kill Team…
