Hmm…either Indiana Jones went for an upgrade or some new model is going to be rocking a “Cat o’three(?) tails” – regardless there are quite a few faction in 40k and Age of Sigmar known to use whips in combat.

The Bloodthirster is a big proponent of whipping folks into a frenzy – maybe this new weapon is Khorne related. There is also the Bloodstoker who (still) doesn’t have a stand-alone kit available:

Skaven are also known to whip it out – plus those tails could double as whips, too:

Oh and then there is a whole other chaos faction that is into that whole “pain for pleasure” vibe too:

That’s not all either, but let’s hop over to 40k for a minute. You know who was into flagellating things? Sisters Repentia.

Neural Whips are a thing they use…maybe they are looking for a way to become more efficient with a 3-pronged approach. Arco-flagellants are also into that type of thing, however, they don’t seem to be using leather whips:

But hey, if the Sisters ARE getting a new codex, I’m sure the models are going to get a tweak or two as well…

Tyranids are also into that whole “whip” thing – although that teaser doesn’t really match their aesthetic. But hey, maybe they ate a planet that was really into leather.

So what do you think? AoS? 40k? What faction would be using a whip? Also – what if it’s NOT a whip!? The possibilities are out there! Let us know in the comments.
