Fantasy Flight Games has just announed a new scenario is available for download–it supplements the recently released Mask of the Oni and brings players into contact with the rat-like Nezumi deep within the shadowlands.

The Shadowlands are one of the more dangerous places in the Emerald Empire. True, they are overflowing with twisted magic and oni–but they are also home to the strange rat-like beings known as the Nezumi. Not everything that scurries in the shadowlands is out to kill you–and The Knotted Tails is a chance to meet allies that would otherwise never be found within the Emerald Empire proper.

Will your band of adventurers, diplomats, samurai, courtiers, and whatever else you might have, help these unfortunate creatures who are beset by monsters? Will you put yourself in the path of danger or leave these rats to rot? Find out in the Knotted Tails, which you can download below.

Take your players into the foreboding Shadowlands with Mask of the Oni. This adventure for the Legend of the Five Rings Roleplaying Game pits heroes against the dangers of the Shadowlands and the horrors found within the crumbling walls of the Hiruma family’s fallen castle. Tokens, maps, and an adventure booklet will guide players on their journey, but will they survive with their soul intact?

No word on whether or not any of the Nezumi are raising an orphaned group of turtles, or indeed, if any of them used to be warriors of the Foot Clan, but even so–Happy Adventuring!
