Ten years ago this month – GW rolled out Planetstrike. The Imperial Guard, Marines, and Chaos were all getting the love. How many of these do you remember?

Today we roll the clock back 10 years to the week to see what all the GW fandom was going nuts about when we were all a bit younger.

People were freaking out over 40K’s newest expansion.

It was June 2009, and GW was rolling out the Planetstrike!

A whole lot of plastic terrain came with like these guys, now 10 years old! Who remembers these:

Imperial Guard Tanks

This 5th Edition Imperial Guard codex was about to hit and people were clamoring for the new models. GW gave us the plastic Hellhound plastic kit and the all plastic Demolisher.

Marine Reinforcements

Not to left out of the fun, the Astartes got two of their rarer units, the Scout speeder, and the most overloaded dread of them all – the Ironclad. So many guns!

Temple of Skulls

Warhammer Fantasy was still trucking along strongly and chaos got a decent and MASSIVE terrain kit in the Temple of Skulls. It was enormous, looked good, and was big enough to put a warmachine, or unit atop. Good times!

~Seriously I can’t believe this was TEN YEARS AGO! Were you on the hype bandwagon with these kits? What are your memories of these releases?
