With a new video announced at the Age of Sigmar Open Day, a terrible new foe seems poised to step out and claim souls–and bones–for Nagash.

Big news abounds at the Age of Sigmar Open Day–from new Battletomes to season 3 of Underworlds to a fiendish new foe having been unleashed from the soul feast prison, ready to unleash terror upon the Mortal Realms in a short teaser video which you can see right here.

It sounds very much like Jim Cummings (although it could be a different voice actor) to do the voice of whatever new Necromancer–or worse–has crawled up out of the shadows. That’s exactly the sort of thing you’d expect for the terrible force unleashed by the end of the events in Forbidden Power. What new dark chapter is next for the Mortal Realms? We’ll be finding out soon enough.

But it seems Nagash’s plans are only just beginning. With news of “an army” raised and a terrible tithe to be paid, it seems that skeletons are going to get their day in the sun. Or moons. Or shadows. It all depends on where and when in the Mortal Realms you’re fighting. And if the figure’s boasts of surviving the fall of the storm god’s hammer, as well as a hidden prison (presumably unleashed during the Stormvault malfunctions that have been plaguing the Realms in Forbidden Power), Nagash is getting a powerful new general from the sound of things.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more news of who this menacing figure is–doubtless we’ll be seeing more in the coming weeks. So check back soon!

Who do you think is hardy enough among Nagash’s minions to survive the fall of the storm god’s hammer, as well as being strong enough to lead an army of bones?
