In this box, House Targaryen rises to the fore with new versions of their most iconic characters, including Daenerys Targaryen, Khal Drogo, and three terrifying, fully grown dragons. Of course, every other faction also receives two new non-loyal cards to swell their forces and help them explore new strategies against the Targaryens. With a wealth of neutral cards and plots rounding out the expansion, every faction has good reason to explore what awaits in Dragons of the East.

House Targaryen Cards

Obviously, this expansion has a heavy focus on the Targaryens and what sort of a focus would that be with out Daenerys Targaryen, the mother of dragons, herself! She’s quite the powerful character if you can get here in to play.

Her Action ability alone could be worth the price of admission. With that ability you could go digging for cards like Khaleesi:

Or perhaps you just want to go straight for the Dragons cards with Dragon Egg. Get that bun in the oven and start baking up a horde of hatchlings of your own!

Non-Targaryen Cards

If you aren’t playing a deck with a strong House Targaryen focus, that’s okay – this expansion still comes with two new non-loyal cards for every other faction. Plus, these cards are designed specifically to help counter some of those pesky Targaryen tricks.

Dragonstone Convert is a great card to play if you want to shut down some of your opponent’s challenge cards. There are some pretty clutch challenges that, when interrupted at the right time, can greatly increase your odds of defeating those dragons.

Ser Meryn Trant quite possibly has some of the best flavor text out there. But aside from that, he can really mess with your opponent’s ability to get cards back from their graveyard – cards that are discarded are simply removed from the game. Ouch!

And finally we have the Red Keep. This location has a handy interrupt action that can shut down your opponent’s triggered character, location, or attachment abilities. And the bonus coin is just gravy on top.

Dragons of the East is slated for a Q4 release date – you can pre-order it now or put in a pre-order with your FLGS!

Dragons of the East $29.95

From the ashes of Robert’s Rebellion, House Targaryen has risen to strength once more. An army of mercenaries, Unsullied, and Dothraki has assembled in Essos, prepared to sail for Westeros and reclaim the Iron Throne for Daenerys Targaryen. All will kneel before the Mother of Dragons!
