Games Workshop has finally let the heroes of Shadowspear come out to play all by themselves. Come check out the new Vanguard heroes!

The Shadowspear Boxed Set kicked off a whole batch of change ahead of the Warmaster laying claim to Vigilus. One of Vigilus’ outer planets had been turned into an infernal forge, and the Primaris Vanguard were introduced–and dispatched–in one fell swoop. Here are the leaders from that set.

Oh Captain my Captain

First up, we have the Captain in Phobos Armor. He’s basically your standard Space Marine Captain, but in the new stealthy version of the Mk. X armor, which means you can use all those lovely obscuration discipline powers on him.

And richly detailed like this, the Captain is ready to lead your Primaris into battle.

Check Out this Librarian

Masters of powerful psychic powers that can shield allies from their enemies, or strike terror into the hearts of foes, this Librarian is wearing a tabard that would make even a Dark Angel jealous, and carries a sword and a bunch of keys that unlock…something.

Finally we have the one that everyone’s been waiting for, yet another Primaris Lieutenant, because if there’s one thing every new Space Marine release needs, it’s a Primaris Lieutenant.

Holding aloft his mighty sword, the Primaris Lieutenant discovered fabulous secret powers by the power of Greyskull.

These all make for some excellent options, though the Primaris are famously not starved for HQ choices. Phobos armor gives you access to a faster, stealthier playstyle, but as far as the game goes, it’s anyone’s guess as to how much stealth matters when you’ve got a Knight and a Smash Captain at your disposal. Regardless, you can grab these three outside of the boxed set now, so check them out today.
