Geekery: James Gunn’s ‘Suicide Squad’ has a Massive Cast

James Gunn’s re-imagining of the Suicide Squad has till August 6, 2021 to get its act together. Hopefully, they’ll have a real editor this time, especially given the cast they just announced. The director shared a poster featuring just names on Twitter with a warning to fans:

It’s a huge cast – and only a handful have confirmed characters.

• Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn
• Joel Kinnaman – Rick Flag
• Jai Courtney – Captain Boomerang
• Viola Davis – Amanda Waller
• John Cena – Peacemaker
• David Dastmalchian – Polka-Dot Man
• Steve Agee – King Shark
• Daniela Melchior – Ratcatcher

That leaves a lot of possibilities for some big-name actors – the comic has pulled from all over the DC Universe. Tinashe Kajese gets my vote as Vixen and maybe Jennifer Holland as Killer Frost. How would you cast these fine folks?
