Warhammer 40K: Sisters of Battle Vehicle Teasers
Looks like the Rhino Chassis is getting a new upgrade kit and GW is teasing some other new kits coming for the Sisters of Battle!
The trusty Rhino is a vehicle that has rumbled it way across the galaxy. It’s widely used by many forces of the Imperium and the Sisters of Battle are another cog in the warmachine that rides them to war. Today, Games Workshop is showing off a pair of painted Rhinos that are showcasing some of the new bits you’ll get access to – and they have a few hints at things to come.
“Given their functional purpose as armoured personnel carriers, Rhinos are seldom adorned beyond identifying paintwork and iconography. However, the Sisters of Battle lead lives of utmost dedication and treat even these utilitarian vehicles with great respect. As such, Sororitas Rhinos are often decorated with filigree and other ostentatious, or holy, accoutrements far beyond those of other Imperial institutions.”
These Rhino’s have a LOT of flourishes that clearly mark these as Sisters of Battle property. The biggest and most obvious bits are the new doors and top hatch. After that, it’s probably the arched viewing ports. From there, it sure looks like GW went all-in for the extra doo-dads. Scrolls, purity seals, and even the towing hooks on the front are Sisters themed.
The new Sisters Rhino kit will have it’s own upgrade sprue frame that will enable fans to “add all the things” to the Rhinos. They will have the ability to really make their Rhinos stand out and be unique.
If you’re looking to tell a story with these Rhinos you’re going to be able to do just that with all the extra bits and options that will be included. You can bet these will make excellent kits for conversions and random Sisters extras you can use all over your army!
Future Plans
The Rhino isn’t the only kit that’s going to get a new upgrade either. GW dropped this little tid-bit too:
“If the Sororitas Rhino looks this good, just imagine how awesome the new Immolator and Exorcist miniatures will be…”
New Immolator and Exorcist miniatures?! Oh my…
Considering that these two tanks were both based off the Rhino chassis to begin with, it’s going to be very interesting to see what GW ends up doing to make them even more blinged out in Sisters of Battle bits!
