House Rules’ are tricky.   Are we at a place in the game where we need a few to keep the competitive fires stoked?   We tackle a little bit about that question on this show.  We also talk about how Paul was wrong about a Space Marine flyer.

Hey guys,

Space Marines will continue to climb the tournament rankings with their new supplements.  We’ve spent a lot of time talking about Iron Hands but this is only the beginning as generals out there really drive in to the subtleties of the other supplements.

I believe I was completely wrong about the Stormhawk interceptor and you can even make a case for things like the Storm Eagle and Fire Raptor still.  Those things were a little underpowered for their points a few weeks ago but with the addition of the new Space Marine rules – maybe not.

Please please please check out the new Forge The Narrative objective markers. These things look awesome. Ordering a set is a good way to support one of our sponsors AND the show. Find them here.

The ITC has issued some House Rules for their upcoming tournaments that disallow the use of ‘wobbly model’ for Vehicles with the Fly keyword.  You have to be able to completely place the model with NO overhang of it’s footprint (model or the base depending on what you use to measure in the game) on the level it is trying to sit on.  Wobbly Model was been abused to the point of obscenity – not because it doesn’t make sense that a model could fly over the spot but because it prevents interaction of other models in the game.    Is that the intent?  I don’t think so.  This house rule helps address that but is it a bridge too far?

FTN mostly focuses on Warhammer 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you.
