Join us as we take a closer look at the new Ossiarch Bonereaper’s Heroes!

With a entirely new army we’re super excited about the Ossiarch Bonereapers. Here’s our first look at the new models up close and personal!

The Bone-Tithe Comes For You

The Ossiarch Bonereapers have their own unique look and style. Not quite your standard undead army, not quite foreign in design either – they fit right at home in the mortal realms. Games Workshop really went out of their way on these designs to pull in a lot of different influences and then they recombined them into something altogether new and unique. The Heroes of the Ossiarch Bonereapers really do stand out vs the rest of the army. They are easily identified from their odd stature and interesting poses.

Katakros is…well, look at him! It’s a diorama unto itself. With his four attendants around him, he still manages to stand head-and-shoulders above them and the battlefield. The entire kit is basically one sprue and it’s densely packed and looks great. There are so many other little details to pick-out it’s going to be quite the challenge to build and paint.

Next up we have the Soulmason – I cannot get over this model! The mason is sitting in a chair with functioning legs as it carries him across the battlefield. I can’t decide if the Soulmason is being lazy or if he’s just showing off. The details of the chair are also quite impressive, too.

Arch-Kavalos Zandtos is another great model and this kit can be built in different ways. You can also make a Liege-Kavalos out of the box. I haven’t started assembling it yet, but I do wonder if you can mix-and-match to make slightly different versions of the Arch-Kavalos. Either way, this model is surely going to stand out on the tabletop!

And finally, we have the Mortisan Boneshaper. This model is mid-construction of a new Mortek Guard. I really like how this model helps to show how the Ossiarch Bonereapers create their armies. It’s literally breaking down the skull of some massive creature and turning it into a Bonereaper – that’s just freaking cool! Also, what creature is that skull from…questions? I have them.

There is one other hero which we didn’t get to unbox and that was the Mortisan Soulreaper. This model is slated for a release in a clam-pack in stores so you’ll be able to take a look at the sprue before you buy. That said, it’s another really cool looking model for the range and seems like a great option of you want something to provide a bit more close-range support for your Mortek Guard.

All of these models are currently available from Games Workshop and should be hitting stores for purchase this weekend. You can also see all their rules on GW’s website as well – and the Warhammer Community’s warscroll builder has a new update that includes all the Ossiarch Bonereapers units as well.

So what are you waiting on? Get those Ossiarch Bonereapers!
