The Ork range for 40k is in pretty good shape. That said, there are still a handful of kits that need to get the plastic treatment.

For the most part, the Orks have a very large range and most of it is now is glorious plastic. But we took a moment to look through the remaining kits to find out what was still in resin and there were more kits than we thought. Let’s take a look.

Ghazghkull Thraka

We know we’re getting a new one along side the release of the next chapter of Psychic Awakening. But as of writing this article, he’s still available in resin – so we’re counting it. Plus what kind of an ork list would it be if Ghaz isn’t included?

Ork Tankbustas

This kit is still in resin and we could see GW updating it alongside the next entry on our list…

Ork Kommandos

If they could somehow make the commandos and the tankbustas a combo kit, we think that would be great! Or maybe we just get upgrade packs to the existing Ork Boyz kits? Nah, we need new ones!

Ork Nob With Waaagh! Banner

If you’re looking for a generic Ork Nob or banner bro there IS a model for that. However, it’s still resin. We’re hoping that GW updates this one and maybe has some extra options like head swaps or different icons.

Weirdboy

The Weirdboy is still resin, too. I’m a little concerned because with Psychic Awakening on the way, we’re need more Ork Psykers. I’d like to see a slightly modular Ork Weirdboy plastic kit. And I have a feeling that a lot of Ork players would agree with me.

Kaptin Badrukk

So Kaptin Badrukk…okay. He’s pretty iconic, right!? Imagine a new version in plastic. GW could update the pose on this model and make that kustom dakka gun even better. Plus, the idea of an ork on a treasure hunt just sounds cool. So c’mon GW – update Badrukk!

Ork Boss Snikrot

This is another model that we here at BoLS think is already great. The pose is cool and Boss Snikrot is a legend. But a while back when GW updated all many of the named Chaos characters they looked more awesome. We’d like to see the same treatment happen to Snikrot!

Ork Warboss with Big Choppa

Hey – another generic Ork Warboss, this one with a big choppa! Now, this guy might still be in metal…it’s not listed on the GW website. Anyhow, I think we can all agree that a new Plastic Warboss kit would be worth it.

Mad Dok Grotsnik

Yeah…Mad Dok Grotsnik needs some love. This model is looking rough these days. I don’t think anyone would complain about the ol’Dok getting a plastic version. If nothing else retiring this old model would be worth it.

Ork Boss Zagstruk

This is the final model on the list. Again, it’s actually not bad! But, again, we think GW could make it even more impressive in plastic. Here’s hoping that GW updates these Orks to plastic!

What do you think? How would you redo these kits from resin to plastic? What OTHER kits would you like GW to update?
