The new Seraphon book is chock full of exciting new abilities and subfactions for everyone’s favorite space dinos. Here’s a look at the Fangs of Sotek.

One of the best things about the new Seraphon Battletome is the rich flavor with which it describes the new, updated take on what the Seraphon actually are in Age of Sigmar. From reading about Starborne and Coalesced to the different battalions that make up the armies of the Seraphon, dedicated to carrying out the plans of the mysterious Old Ones, there’s a lot to love. And so it is with the Fangs of Sotek, one of the new subfactions that consists of a whole lot of Skinks, which makes them just the best. Let’s take a look.

As you can see, this ‘constellation’ is all about the Skinks. These little lizards are swift, especially on the first turn, meaning you’ll be able to position them exactly where you need them. And the new Command ability lets you keep your Skinks out of harms way–or at the very least get off some extra shots if they’re not charged by anything. Still, anything that keeps your Skinks shooting and not stabbing is sure to be a relief for a Seraphon general.

Their new command trait gives you good odds on a bonus command point at the start of the game, while their special artefact means that any hit by a weapon stands a chance of killing a foe outright. It’s incredibly swingy, but if you load that up on a model with a high number of attacks and a decent rend, there’s no end of things it could kill. Looking forward to reading a list of all the things the Serpent God Dagger has dealt a deathblow to in the coming months.

In the meantime, check out Battletome: Seraphon for more.
