With a giant new release bringing Gargants to the world bigger and better than ever, here’s what we think of the new gargant designs for Sons of Behemat.

The new characterful mega gargant kit has been revealed by GW, and with it three powerful editions to the upcoming Sons of Behemat list. Here’s my thoughts on the three biggest boyes, design wise mostly since we don’t know much about their rules yet.

Gatebreaker

This one is probably my favorite of the new gargants simply because of how straight forward and focused he looks. Wearing a patchwork executioner’s hood and swinging a massive flail in the form of a big rock on a chain, this guy is a consummate siegebeast, and probably the first line of gargants when dealing with fortifications or siege weaponry, as his name suggests. I’m excited to see how he functions on the battlefield, and if his weapon is better at dealing with one big thing or several small things.

Warstomper

Of all the new gargants, this one feels the most feral to me, and really captures the feel of an angry, hungry giant stampeding through the enemy ranks. He has a long scraggly beard, he’s covered in trophies, and he fights with a rock tied to an up rooted tree. When Ghur goes to war, this guy definitely goes with it, and there probably isn’t much that can stop him. I imagine he’s going to be the infantry clearer, and might even have a stomp over style ability.

Kraken-eater

As the name would suggest, this fellow looks like a sun bleached fisherman from the coast, and he oozes pirate energy with his net full of goodies and his club made of ship parts. There’s even a few cannons tied up in there, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he could make some sort of shooting attack with it. I love how he went all in with the fish theme, and he even seems to have some Idoneth bits tied around his belt, not to mention the ship’s prow peeking over his back. He’s definitely go the most character of any of the new giants, and I’m excited to see how he plays on the tabletop.

Which gargant is your favorite?
