GW Rumor Engine: Fancy Filigree Firearm
It’s a new Rumor Engine that begs the question – What the manner of weapon are we looking at and who might be wielding it?
Tuesday is here which means it’s time for a new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. Today we have an interesting looking firearm. At least it looks like one from a certain angle. You’ll have to take a look to judge for yourself.
“With Indomitus launching this weekend and a new edition of Warhammer 40,000 kicking off, has there ever been a better time to gaze into the future? At the very least, it’s a cracking excuse to look at another teaser from the Rumour Engine – see if you can work out what this week’s sneak peek is…”
Games Workshop is asking for all your ideas on this one, good or bad, on their respective facebook page. So let’s toss some out there. Firstly, is this even a gun or is it some other bit? Let’s rotate it and take a look at it:
Okay – does that help?Starting on the left we’ve got a Cylinder, a possible trigger or trigger guard below that, the barrel, an iron sight, and the muzzle beyond that. That seems fairly clear…But who would be wielding such a fancy weapon?
My first thought jumped to the Rogue Traders. They all tend to have semi-archaic-yet-powerful-and-fancy-firearms.
This is all assuming it’s even an firearm to being with. Hey, it could be some crazy looking bit for some other thing. It’s kind of hard to tell, but hey, that’s also part of the fun of trying to guess! So internet, what do you think about this one? Are we looking at the firearm of a new Rogue Trader? Perhaps it’s something completely different. Maybe it could even be something from the Mortal Realms?!
