There’s a new Game Workshop Warhammer Preview this weekend – The Dead & The Divine – so what are YOU hoping to see?

Alright folks, let’s talk about our hopes and dreams for this weekend from the upcoming The Dead & The Divine Warhammer Preview. The good news is that GW was kind enough to make a handy graphic so at least we have an idea of what topics are on deck.

So let’s kick if off from the top!

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar

I have a funny feeling we’re about to see a LOT of new Death faction stuff. Particularly the new Soulblight Vampires.

I’m hoping that this model is just the tip of the vampire wave coming soon. Vampires were a huge part of the Old World and I’ve been waiting to see them get reworked for a long time. A new plastic Blood Dragon kit, more Vampire Unit types and just …more!

We’re also getting some more Lumenith Realm-lords which I’m all for. The new Hurakan Windchargers aren’t the only units on deck. Are we going to see the next chapter in the Broken Realms Saga? I hope so! Who’s going to take the lead for this one? And since we’re dealing with LRL, are we going to see any updates on Tyrion? I mean, he’s still around and his twin has been getting all the spotlight…

Warhammer 40,000

For the Grimdark side of the house, I’m curious as to what will be next. We haven’t really heard much about the Durkhari or Dark Angels. There are still a few Space Marine kits out there floating around that haven’t been released. Are we going to see more Drukhari models other than Lelith? And what’s up with this whole “Act 1: The Book of Rust – War Zone: Charadon” ? Afterall, why call it Act I if it’s the only book…seems like GW has more planned.

Warhammer: 40,000 – Kill Team

The new Space Marine infantry and Necron Warriors got updated for Kill Team. I’m guessing that GW is going to put out another large update for Kill Team to include all the new stuff from those two lines (at least the infantry models – sorry Silent King). Of course that’s thinking pretty small. Maybe we’ll see more terrain kits or perhaps a new “Sector” of terrain types to go along with Sector Imperialis and Mechanicus! I do love those fancy terrain kits…

Adeptus Titanicus

Personally, I’ve VERY curious to see what’s next for Adeptus Titanicus. Since we’re wishlisting, how about rules for the Imperial Aeronautica Flyers to use in the game? No? Hmm…Okay, how about Psy-Titans? Oh those aren’t really Horus Heresy Era appropriate? Well, what about Rapier Scout Titans? Those were last used during the Heresy and we don’t have artwork for them. Just tossing that out there.

Warhammer: Underworlds

Whelp…the update roadmap kinda lays these releases out for us, right? We haven’t seen all the new Vampire Warband models (MOAR, PLZ). We also have 3 more warbands to check out. Hopefully we’ll see some previews of those, too! Orruks, Ossiarch Bonereapers, and Idoneth/Lumenith are on the way. Personally, I’m really looking forward to the Ossiarch warband.

Mystery Product

We tackled this subject already but since we’re wishlisting here let’s do some listing:

  • Man O’War/Dreadfleet
  • Mordheim
  • Battlefleet Gothic
  • Warhammer Quest – New Box adventure
  • EPIC

Honestly, I have no idea what it’s going to be. It could even be a brand new paint line! But with Blackstone Fortress finished, I think GW is looking for another one of those Board Game style releases and Warhammer Quest does fit the bill. But I can’t help but to hope for a new Mordeim-style game. Warcry tries to scratch that itch but it’s just not the same. And Necromunda has been pretty constant with the updates from GW, perhaps they are looking for a similar model on the AoS side of the house.
