Get ready for an epic tale of time travel and trickery starring the MCU’s favorite Asgardian villain.
The series picks up after that one scene in Avengers: Endgame. Loki ends up in the hands of the Time Variance Authority – that’s right, we’re jumping directly into the Multiverse with Loki as a guide. The story will take Loki through the timeline, allowing the trickster to influence historical events.
Mobius’s plan becomes more clear, as well as the giant scope of Loki’s task to fix what he’s done with the tesseract. I’m loving the flavor they’ve added to make this series different – the retrofuture, late 196os/70s look of the TVA headquarters, and its bureaucracy are great. It’s a perfect contrast to the sleek, militarized, and modern look of SHIELD and SWORD.
Also, these two are great together.
The more I see the more I’m excited for June to arrive.
Tom Hiddleston returns as the God of Mischief and is joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. Michael Waldron (Rick and Morty, Harmon Quest) is the lead writer in the series.
