The Stormcast Eternals are a force to be reckoned with in the new edition of Age of Sigmar, come and see why with new rules.

Okay the new edition of Age of Sigmar looks like it’ll be a ton of fun. There’s been a lot of quality of life updates, as well as some new rules for allegiance abilities, unit coherencey, and more. Today we’re taking a look at how Stormcast Eternals will play in the new edition, so come and take a glimpse of some of the rules previews. Let’s take a look!

via Warhammer Community

The Stormcast Eternals have really grown as a faction through the years, with the addition of new units that let you build a variety of playstyles–from ranged attacks that would make the Kharadron envious to heavy hitters mounted on monsters, to heavy infantry that packs a mean punch, there’s a lot you can do with them. But they all have one thing in common, they’ve been reforged by Sigmar after death.

And this uniting feature is represented in a new allegiance ability, Blaze of Glory, added in the upcoming Dominion box:

This turns each Stormcast into an explosive risk for enemies who close with them in melee. Suddenly that high-wound unit has a chance to get a little extra value as you stride in. Of course this isn’t the only change coming to the Stormcasts.

Stormcasts get to take advantage of their larger base size to try and control the battlefield a little better, especially since they typically come in smaller unit sizes, which makes it easier to spread out to claim areas.

Take a look at the Lord-Imperatant, who will be ready to buff your units, and who can issue a command without spending a command point.

In addition to being able to do a Command Point-less Command every turn, the Lord-Imperatant is a beast enough on his own with four attacks and Guided by Lightning to deep strike in some Stormcast Eternals in a pinch.

Finally, let’s take a look at the Pennant of the Stormbringer, found on models like the Knight-Vexilor:

Seems like Stormcast’s are gonna show up everywhere.
