SDCC at Home has delivered a bunch of awesome first looks and panels.

Doctor Who Season 13

The new season will tell one story with no stand-alone episodes. From showrunner Chris Chibnall…

“Before we started making it, there were times when we thought we were going to be unable to do the show under covid conditions this year… there were two ways you could go You could go ‘let’s do lots of tiny little episodes in one room, with no monsters,’ or we could throw down the gauntlet and do the biggest story we’ve ever done. We’re going to go to all kinds of different places, we’re going to have all kinds of characters and monsters, and it’s all going to be part of a bigger whole. It’s definitely the most ambitious thing we’ve done since we’ve been on the series.”

Check out the full panel here.

The Walking Dead Season 11

This is the final season – fans will be getting three sets of eight episodes, with the final sixteen airing in 2022. Season 11 begins on AMC+ on August 15 and August 22 on AMC. All episodes will drop early on the network’s new streaming service, so if you want to avoid spoilers a subscription is likely in your future.

You can watch the full panel on where the franchise is headed here. They also showed off a new trailer for World Beyond.

Day of the Dead

Looking for situational humor with gore and walking corpses? It’ll be on SyFy in October for you.

Lucifer

Sorry, no season six trailer. Executive producers Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich along with lead actor Tom Ellis did dish a lot about it in the show’s panel – including the question on whether or not he’ll have god powers.

“I think that’ll be one of the first questions that our characters will be asking when we start season six. He’s got quite a few mysteries to solve in season six. He grew up a lot, and he’s still in the process of growing up, but I think it’s that classic thing of ‘be careful what you wish for.’ Because he did convince himself about a lot of things during season five, but when something that you think about actually happens, it often feels very different. So that’s the kind of conundrum that Lucifer finds himself in, in season six.”

Dexter Season 9

The killer has taken on a new alias in a new town – but can he keep his urges to himself? Michael C. Hall, John Lithgow, and Jennifer Carpenter are reprising their roles (which is odd for those latter two seeing that they’re no longer alive) and are joined by Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country), Oscar Wahlberg (NOS4A2), Jack Alcott, Michael Cyril Creighton, and Clancy Brown.

The 10-episode limited series premieres on November 7 on Showtime.

Chucky

It’s totally cheeseball with questionable CG, but Brad Dourif is back as the murderous doll so it’s not all terrible. It’ll be on USA/SyFy on October 12.

“An idyllic American town is thrown into chaos after a vintage ‘Good Guy’ doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town’s deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets. Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky’s past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”
