Games Workshop has announced a brand new Battlebox that will bring the ‘Hexfire’ with Grey Knights and Thousand Sons!

The battle of Hexenfast is coming soon from Games Workshop. It’s going to be magic vs magic (or at least Psykers vs Psykers) in the battlebox Hexfire. It’s looking like quite the epic throwdown in the Grimdark.

“Now we can reveal the full contents of the Hexfire battlebox. You’ll find a 40-page campaign book detailing the battle for control of Hexenfast, a gas giant that now plays host to an open warp fissure, infesting it with daemonic entities. You’ll find datasheets for all the models in the box, of course, but also Crusade rules including campaign-specific Battle Scars, Relics, and Battle Traits. These are a cool way to show the lasting effects of the battle for Hexenfast.”

Perfect timing! The Box also contains two armies designed to duke it out over the course of the campaign. The Grey Knights are lead by none other than Castellan Crowe (who’s got a new miniature in the box) while the Thousand Sons have a brand new Infernal Master to lead them. Model-wise we do have a breakdown as well:

Grey Knight Forces

Castellan Crowe

2x 5-man Grey Knights in Power Armor – these can be assembled as Purifiers, a Strike Squad, Interceptor Squad, or Purgation Squad

Nemesis Dreadknight

It’s a compact army that’s versatile and is also the perfect starting point for an army.

Thousand Sons Forces

Infernal Master

5 Scarab Occult Terminators

10 Tzaangors

Tzaangor Shaman

Just as the Grey Knights, the Thousand Sons force is a pretty good mix of units and options for the size. Plus you’ll have some Daemonic Support with the Tzaangors which is a nice curveball.

The Hexfire Battlebox is shaping-up to be quite the launching point for either of these armies. If you’ve been wanting to dabble in either of these Psychic forces you’ll have a good opportunity to do just that.

We’re also going to take a stab and guess this might be the first place you’ll be able to get your hands on the new models for either faction, too.

They look like a pretty epic pairing as well!

And if you’re not hyped-up enough, don’t forget that both of these armies are getting a new codex VERY soon.

It’s going to be quite the time to be a Psyker in the Grimdark Warhammer 40,000 universe. Hexfire is coming!
