Warhammer+ is out with some new offerings this week. We’ve got a new episode of Angels of Death and a narrative Battle Report with Guilliman vs Mortarion!

It’s “More Warhammer, More Often” time with a new batch of goodies from the Warhammer+ service. Today, we’re getting episode 4 the Angels of Death – Awakenings. We’re also getting a Battle Report featuring the team playing a narrative game that features some heavy hitters with Mortarion taking the table against Guilliman. For you paint junkies, we’re getting a Citadel Colour Masterclass for painting “true metallic gold” today. Plus, we’re getting even more White Dwarf issues and the Quest for Ghal Maraz in the Vault!

Battle Report

“The battle on Iax took place at the climax of the Plague Wars – Mortarion’s ambitious attempt to conquer and corrupt the Ultramar Sector by expanding Nurgle’s realm beyond the Scourge Stars. This campaign was Chaos’ revenge for the century-long Indomitus Crusade, which saw Guilliman lead the forces of the Imperium in an attempt to reclaim territory from the grasp of the four Dark Gods. “

This being a Narrative battle, I’m looking forward to watching how Games Workshop presents this game. Are they going to pull stuff straight of a rulebook? Will they have some custom “homebrew” additions? Will they have a Games Master help sort things out or keep the game running? Or will this just be a couple of Matched play Armies throwing down under the guise of a narrative game? We’re expecting the production to be pretty good considering how their Streams go. Those work pretty well considering they are live – and this game is clearly pre-recorded and will probably have some good editing to go along with it. Or at least multiple camera angles to look at!

The Battle Report features Patrick as the Death Guard and Nick as the Ultramarines. It should be quite a fun game to watch unfold!
