There’s a brand new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop and it looks like something is crawling around the pipes.

Welcome back to another Tuesday! It’s that special time of the week where Games Workshop teases something from the future and in this case it looks like we’re getting in the plumbing business.

To make amends for the destruction Bounca wrought on last week’s Rumour Engine, Da Red Gobbo has managed to infiltrate Warhammer HQ, and smuggled out a shot of an upcoming release.

So what are we looking at here? I’m going to take a wild guess and say we’ve got something in the sewer system. Why? Well, the metal grate is a big indicator as well as the broken bottle on the lower right. There’s also the massive pipe above that. Honestly, this looks like something out of the TMNT franchise:

Okay…maybe not that cartoony. Regardless this Rumor Engine does appear to be set in the sewer. Based on the three-fingered hand we have there (and there could be more fingers out of the shot) I think we might be looking at something from Skaven or something from the Genestealer Cults.

They are called Gutter Runners after-all.

The fingers aren’t quite as claw-like as the Skaven which is why I think it could be Genestealer Cult related.

The Genestealers have been known to hang around pipes…

In either case, creeping around the a cities underbelly and infiltrating through the sewers seems in line with both these armies. While it could be something entirely different I feel like these two guesses are pretty solid. What I also want to mention is the fact that this is probably someone’s scenic base. I think it looks pretty impressive already! I wonder if this is for a character or some other special one-off model. I guess we’ll have to wait to find out!

What do you think this Rumor Engine will turn out to be? Drop us a line in the comments with your best guess and play the guessing game with the rest of us!
