With a new model, new rules, and a trusty steed the Red Gobbo returns to the tabletop this Christmas season!

Games Workshop’s weekend preview left us with a short teaser. We had a feeling this one had something to do with a certain someone riding a squig and now we know for sure.

via Warhammer Community

“Santa Claus he is not. Astride his loyal squig Bounca, da Red Gobbo dispenses presents to all the good little grots, and his model is packed with joyous details. Baubles and ornaments hang from the squig’s antlers and litter the ground underfoot, while the Gobbo’s trusty sidearm is slung in a holster across his back.”

While the Red Gobbo might be Christmas themed he’s not just for show. He’ll be coming with his own datasheet so you can add him to your games with a Power Level. If you’re wanting to add him to armies using Points then you’ll want to snag a copy of White Dwarf 471 when that arrives. Just be aware that it will contain a Warhammer Legends datasheet. What does that mean? Well GW spelled it out:

Warhammer Legends allows the use of certain models and rules that are no longer actively updated – though they’re not suitable for finely honed competitive armies.”

Don’t expect the Red Gobbo to be your next Tournament Winning model…unless that tournament is a painting competition. In which case…Good Luck!

More Red Gobbo Fun

The Red Gobbo has been around for a while. Making his debut in Gorkamorka a part of the Gretchin Revolutionary Committee he’s been an inspiring presence on the battlefield (or at least in the background). If you’d like to learn more about the plight of the worker Gobbos in the Grimdark, then check out Da Gobbo’s Revenge as it take as a look at orky society from the Gretchin’s perspective.

They might not be the biggest but there sure are a lot of them…
