We’d ask if that was a particular Doctor with a penchant for Cephalopods but we’re not sure that’s a copyright violation.

It’s the first Rumor Engine of 2022! And this one is quite the doozy. It looks like it’s some mechanical tendrils…but, well, have a look for yourself:

“After running the Advent Engine for several weeks in a row, we noticed it was starting to look a little… Chaos-y. On the advice of some very helpful aeldari we’re moving back to our regular Rumour Engine schedule, starting with this.”

Well now…what could these be? Okay, we’ve already tossed out some ideas. Could this be more of the same teasers from the Chaos releases? Could it be another variation of the Warpsmith?

It doesn’t look quite the same. The tendrils on the Warpsmith look a bit thinner. Perhaps it’s something larger?

Another Hellbrute? Or maybe updated Maulerfiend?

Then again…maybe it’s something entirely different! What if it’s not chaos related at all? While I do think that would be a little hard to believe I’m not ruling that out. The tendrils and spikes are a very interesting look for sure so what do you think this one could be?

If you’ve got an idea or whacky theory we’d love to see it in the comments. That’s the fun of the Rumor Engines and this one being the first of the year means you should totally join in the fun! It’s totally not Doc Ock, right?! Oh man…That’s a ‘What If’ Story of a whole other breed.
