Games Workshop is tipping their hand and teasing us with what the next codex after the new Aeldari book is. Here’s a hint: they are hungry.

We all knew that the codex for the Aeldari was coming soon, right? GW previewed a ton of their miniatures at LVO 2022 so a new book shouldn’t be a surprise.

Codex: Aeldari – It’s BIG

via Warhammer Community

“The new Aeldari codex is big, and we mean really BIG. Clocking in at 200 pages, it’s only eight pages shorter than Codex: Space Marines. But what’s inside this epic tome? There’s in-depth lore and background on the Aeldari, along with stunning artwork and details of how they wage war.”

So what all is packed in that book? Tons of stuff. Rules changes abound in the book as well as army-wide special rules, Stratagems, and more. Not to mention all the new rules updates for all the sweet new models coming to the range.

Oh and that Aeldari codex is so large because it’s packed in a few friends, too.

“As well as rules for Asuryani Aeldari (that’s craftworlds to me and you), this new codex also has rules for fielding Harlequins – we’ll have more info on adding these deadly clowns to your armies later in the week. We saw the first Corsairs miniature at LVO, and you can also include them in an army. You can even dedicate yourself to the Aeldari god of death and take a Ynnari army – all using the same codex!”

Hmm…Interesting! On one hand, we’re glad to hear that the Ynnari are finally getting some attention and “home” book. On the other hand, kind of bummed to hear that Harlequins aren’t getting a new codex. Now, this could mean that it’s just rules for adding them into a Craftworlds army. But…I’m not getting my hopes up for a new codex for them this edition now. And speaking of new codexes…

The Next Codex Is…

Tyranids! It’s time for the hungriest of devourers to come to town. We don’t have a lot of details on this one (yet). But at least we have confirmation they are getting a new book. And we’ve also got teases of that new Tyranid model coming, too.

Exciting times for Tyranids. I guess all it took was the GSC to ring that dinner bell, huh?

We got a new codex and Battlebox – Time to get eaten! Oh wait…

The Tyranids have been on a bit of a tear lately. We’ll have to see how the new book handles them and what GW has done to handle crusade armies. Personally, I can’t wait to see what new model(s) are on the way.

It’s NOM NOM NOM Time!
