Cursed City Is Back

Feb 27 2022

The only tabletop game as hard to get as a PS5 (and those aren’t real) is back–a limited made-to-order run of Cursed City is coming March 5th!

Cursed City created a bit of controversy when it first debuted. When it initially released the demand for it was about on par with a Playstation 5, with a few key differences: Cursed City can’t run nearly as many games and has no online components, but it does fully support the most powerful graphics processor: the imagination. And unlike the PS5, you can actually get Cursed City. Now. Well, soon.

Cursed City Is Back And Made-To-Order

Starting March 5th Games Workshop is launching a limited made-to-order run of Cursed City. What does that mean? Well, starting March 5th, anyone who orders the a copy during the two week window is guaranteed to get one. No running out of stock, no worrying about scalpers looking to flip a boxed set. Is that because Games Workshop doesn’t have to worry about crypto-weirdos buying up all of their stock to make NFTs? Maybe!

The end result is, Cursed City is back if you want it. And trust me, you want it. We were lucky enough to get a box, you can check out some of our stuff about it here. But just look for yourself.

You’ll also find a variety of gorgeous, modular board tiles to ensure each adventure into the haunted city streets unfolds differently, aided by fiendish cards, striking tokens, and ominous trackers that put a twist in the tale for every game. All that, plus a bespoke 40-page rulebook and a 56-page quest book with plenty of adventures for you to stick your fangs into.

Games Workshop anticipates people should receive their copies by May, though some regions will have to wait a while. In the meantime, even if you can’t get a copy during the pre-order, don’t despair. Games Workshop is bringing Cursed City back with a full re-launch later this year:

Don’t think you’ll be able to grab a copy this March? There’s no need to worry – Cursed City will be receiving a full relaunch later this year, along with some juicy new expansions. Whether you pick up the box now or take your time to prepare for Ulfenkarn’s salvation, there are many more creepy quests and frightful foes waiting in the game’s future,** as Radukar’s bloodthirsty ambitions cause the streets to run even redder.
