Looks like someone’s got a ton of gear they are moving around in the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop.

After a slight break from last week the Rumor Engine is back from GW with a new tease. This one is …interesting. Have a look for yourself.

“Even the Rumour Engine needs a week off, but after a holiday last week, it’s returned with – you guessed it – an inscrutable glimpse of the future.”

Pack It Up For Moving Day

So what the heck are we looking at? Well, it’s a pile of stuff. I see some gas cans, some ammo, possible explosives, and other crates all tied down with some sort of strap. All of those goods are inside a tub/container of some type. There even looks like some kind of tarp thing on the right as well.

This kind of reminds me of the back of a moving truck or work truck in real life. The closest thing I can think of from the Grimdark is probably the Goliath from Genestealer Cults.

The back of the Goliath had a gate that you can leave down or raise up. All that to say I don’t think this is actually for the Genestealer Cults. No, I think this is something else entirely. But it’s clearly not meant to be from a Xenos faction like Aeldari/Drukhari or Necrons. And it doesn’t seem like a Chaos Daemon type of thing. Or of the Space Marine variety either (I doubt that was packed according to the Codex Astartes).

All that to say I think we might have something in the works for the Astra Militarum or possibly the Orks. I’m not ruling those out. But I wonder if this could also be a tease for something from Necromunda. The Ash Wastes are coming after all…

But what do you think? If you’ve got a theory we want to read about it in the comments! That’s the fun of the Rumor Engines, right!?

A new hauler? New buggy? Some sort of truck (or orky trukk)? What could it be?
