Games Workshop has a new Rumor Engine out today and it’s looking familiar.

I think there might have been some wires crossed within the Rumor Engine this week because the image isn’t new. What do we mean? Well, take a look for yourself and then we’ll discuss:

“All the poking we’ve been doing this month is making the Rumour Engine smoke and shudder a bit, so we’re giving it a week off to calm down. Before that, here’s one more image it’s pulled from the future.”

Cool image, right? Except we already know exactly what that is because it’s from an existing kit:

It’s one of the belt doodads from the Mega-Gargant kit. However, the paint job is different. And this is from the RUMOR engine. So is Games Workshop trying to tell us something about an existing kit? If so — what are they hinting at? Something’s coming for the Mega-Gargants of the Sons of Behemat.

Are we going to see a repackaging of the Mega-Gargant Kit? Are we going to get a new unit that is built from the same bits? What’s going on with the Rumor Engine and why did it produce an image from an existing kit?

It’s a weird one. We know exactly what it’s from but now we want to know why we’re seeing this particular image.

What do you think? Are we going to get another round of Mega-Gargant goodies in the future?

Update: Games Workshop updated the image to something else. Looks like the wires really WERE crossed this morning.

Feel free to speculate wildly on the new image. That’s the fun of the Rumor Engine!
